Fees
My Piano Courses are sold in blocks of 4 lessons that take place over 4 weeks, preferably at the same time each week.
I also do a one-off trial lesson.
Each lesson lasts for 30 minutes.
Payment is due in advance and bookings are only made on receipt of payment.
Subsequent course fees are due in the week before the 4th lesson and up to 24 hours after this lesson.
Due to high demand for lessons, I cannot guarantee regular time slots if I do not receive prompt payment.
All fees are to be made using Bank Transfer.
Cancellations
If I have to cancel a lesson, I will rearrange that lesson at a time to suit the student (subject to availability).
Lessons cancelled or missed by students will not be refunded or rearranged except at my discretion.
Holidays
I credit 4 weeks’ holiday a year per student.
Longer absences require a 50 percent retainer fee to retain the preferred time slot.
Bank Holidays and Weekends
There are no lessons on Bank Holidays and weekends.
I will rearrange your lesson(s), if your lesson(s) fall on those dates.
Remote and Face to Face Lessons
All lessons will be remote until further notice.
Practice
Mastering an instrument is as much about practising as it is about musical ability.
Students should practise regularly and ideally every day. Short frequent practice is the most effective way to learn, especially for beginners.
Students must have access to a suitable instrument, which is properly maintained (tuned regularly), or a touch sensitive electronic keyboard or a digital piano with weighted keys on which to practice.
You will also need a dedicated stool or adjustable chair.
I am happy to advise if necessary.
Prospect Piano Club
After your trial lesson, you will be invited to join our Piano Club.
This club offers extra benefits in addition to lessons. These include:
- demonstrations of practice pieces of music sent directly to the student over What’s App.
- Free membership of our What’s App Group, where you can chat with other students[RA6] .
- An invitation to our local yearly musical ‘get-together’.
